As the season's color changes to a stronger green, the varied voices of life on Mt.Tateyama join in,singing the glories of summer. On the beautiful Midagahara highland, a repository of alpine plants can be found. Around the rest house, bird watchers may catch a glimpse of snow grouses with their fledglings. During the summer months, Tateyama is bustling with mountain climbers. At 3,000 meters, it is an ideal place to escape the heat.

Mikurigaike Pond
Mikurigaike Pond (circumference:600m, depth:15m) Brimming with mysterious blue,the surface of this high mountain lake quietly reflects Mt.Tateyama. There is a legend that a huge serpent lives in this pond.
